These upcoming school holidays Australia’s only food festival created especially for kids, the Little Food Festival will return to Fed Square for 2 days only on 10-11 April!

Young foodies will be treated to a jam-packed program of free activities, workshops and performances to educate kids about food systems while encouraging healthy and sustainable habits.

Presented by the Sandro Demaio Foundation, Fed Square, Monash University and Event Partner City of Melbourne, Fed Square will be split into six key activity zones themed around an element of the food system: from growing food to moving it, buying it, cooking it, eating, and disposing or reusing it sustainably.

Families can expect high-energy performances by Junkyard Beats, an on-stage interactive show presented by the Stephanie Alexander Garden Foundation, participate in a food rescue activity with OzHarvest, plant vegetables with Bunnings and more. Additionally, the ‘Fruit Nerd’ Thanh TruongCosta Georgiadis from Gardening Australia, and artist extraordinaire Beci Orpin will also be there to join in on the fun.
