Stone & Wood is proud to sponsor the 2024 GROUNDED Australia festival, to be held in Tasmania on December 4 and 5 2024.
GROUNDED Australia is a unique multi format festival celebrating sustainable farming and local flavours. The festival is set to transform the landscape of agricultural education with an innovative hybrid event that combines a world-class conference, an engaging field day, and a vibrant food festival.
Nestled in the picturesque Huon Valley, GROUNDED Australia reimagines farmer learning by offering a dynamic platform for talks and demonstrations on-site, designed specifically for farmers and those passionate about food systems. This event is uniquely organized by farmers, for farmers.
Attendees can look forward to an array of food stalls, educational sessions, and live music, with the addition of refreshing cold beers from the renowned crew at Stone & Wood.
Sustainability Manager at Stone & Wood, Jahdon Quinlan, said, “Just as the brewing industry boasts passionate brewers committed to both their craft and the environment, the agricultural sector features dedicated farmers who prioritise soil health and conscious cultivation. We all have a role to play in caring for our land, no matter where we sit from paddock to pint. That’s why we’re thrilled to support GROUNDED 2024 as Stone & Wood explores how we can engage more farmers, consumers, and suppliers in ‘better farming’ principles.”
This collaboration follows Stone & Wood and non-profit Sustainable Table’s launch of the GOOD GRAIN impact fund, which has raised $60,000 this year and will support regenerative, innovative, and sustainable grain projects relevant to the brewing industry. These include research and development projects for perennial and ancient grains, infrastructural upgrades for an indigenous social enterprise exploring native Australian grains and infrastructural support for a new grain silo for regen ag farming pioneers in WA’s wheatbelt Ian & Di Haggarty who will also be speaking at the GROUNDED event.
Additionally, Stone & Wood recently introduced its first product using at least 70% malt and 100% hops that are Certified Sustainable — the ‘Northern Rivers Beer.’
Tickets start at $240 and available for purchase via: GROUNDED Australia
