A DIFFERENT CHARGE FOR A MCCHICKEN

A woman who took matters into her own hands by jumping a counter and attacking a female worker in a McDonalds store in Iowa, has been located and charged.

Valarie Shepherd 21 of Des Moines, who was with her friend 21 year old Jessie Downs, erupted into a rage of anger, when her order for a McChicken burger took longer than expected.

In her rage, you can hear her yelling for a refund, numerous times, and that she would then leave the store.

She is finally given the burger, and Shepherd hurled it straight back at the store manager’s face. An employee fearing things were getting out of hand, took out their mobile phone and began to ring 911 for police assistance, but Shepherd wasn’t having that and knocked the phone out of her hand and then punched her.

You then see Shepherd jump the counter and begin a physical assault on the store manager, a fight that continues for about 2 or so minutes before she and her friend left the store.

Whilst this was going on, Amanda Garland Gravely who was sitting in the drive through with her family, decided to video the whole attack.

She later posted the video to Facebook and it went viral. It was thanks to this customers quick thinking to record the incident that ultimately helped the Des Moines Police Department apprehend and charge Shepherd.

Shepherd was charged with Assault Causing Bodily Injury and Disorderly Conduct in a public place.

Shepherd was released on bond, as she awaits trial.
