Geelong has long been known as the home of long course triathlon racing and IRONMAN 70.3 Geelong is set to return on Sunday 20 February.

A multi-looped fast course, IRONMAN 70.3 Geelong is set to test avid triathletes looking for a challenging and unique experience along Geelong’s spectacular waterfront and scenic country side.

A COVID Safe event

IRONMAN 70.3 Geelong will operate under an approved COVID Safe Event Plan, subject to any further changes in health orders.

Some of the changes include:

• 1.5m marked spacings for athletes
• Contactless check-in
• Pre event screening for athletes
• New swim start – athletes starting every five seconds
• No spectator areas on the course for friends and family

Plan your travel – Sunday 20 February

To host world-class events like IRONMAN 70.3 Geelong, a number of changed traffic conditions need to be created for the safety of participants and the public.

The most notable change will be on the Portarlington Road. Between 6am and 1.30pm on Sunday 20 February, the east bound lanes (Geelong to Portarlington direction) will be diverted to the Queenscliff Road.

Please allow some additional time to get to your destination and plan ahead.
