Nominations for the Telstra Best of Business Awards are now open. Championing small and medium-sized businesses across the country, the Awards program celebrates the innovative and creative minds driving Australia’s economic, social, and cultural prosperity, while inspiring the next generation of entrepreneurs.

Following the recent success of the preceding Telstra Best of Business Awards which saw more than 22,000 businesses nominated nationwide, the program illustrates Telstra’s long-standing commitment to recognising the meaningful contributions of Australia’s outstanding organisations and business leaders.

Amanda Hutton, Group Executive, Telstra Business said, “Small and medium-sized businesses are the backbone of our country’s economy, and the heart of countless local communities across Australia. The Telstra Best of Business Awards marks an important opportunity for us to pause and celebrate these incredible businesses while sharing their stories and achievements, at a national level.”

“I’m constantly blown away by the astonishing innovation and diversity of Australia’s small business community, and couldn’t be more excited to meet, celebrate and champion this year’s nominees.”

The Telstra Best of Business Awards comprises seven categories which are celebrated at a state and national level. An overall Business of the Year will also be crowned as part of the National Awards. The categories are:

  • Accelerating Women
  • Building Communities
  • Championing Health
  • Embracing Innovation
  • Indigenous Excellence
  • Outstanding Growth
  • Promoting Sustainability

Jason Daniel, Founder of LSKD, the 2024 Telstra Best of Business Awards, Business of the Year and Outstanding Growth Winner, said, “It was surreal winning such a prestigious award. The program made us look back on our journey as a business, the struggles we went through and the progress we made – to celebrate where we are now and win the Business of the Year is still mind blowing.”

With a legacy of over 30 years, the Telstra Best of Business Awards is the country’s largest celebration of small and medium-sized businesses, providing winners with exceptional opportunities to increase sales, expand their business and become household names.

All businesses under 200 employees are invited to nominate and enter across the seven categories. Anyone can nominate an exceptional business, even if it’s their own, by heading to the website today:
